We are recruiting Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants for roles in our partner schools across Greater Manchester. These positions are ideal for individuals with experience supporting students with SEMH, autism, and challenging behaviours.

The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and implementing personalised strategies
  • Use de-escalation techniques to support pupils in moments of crisis or dysregulation
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their emotional wellbeing and academic progress
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid Team Teach certificate (must be in-date)
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH or behavioural needs
  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

Desirable:

  • Experience in a PRU, SEN school, or behaviour unit
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and EHCPs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external professionals and families
