We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Personal Assistant to support a friendly and talkative young adult in a wheelchair with Cerebral Palsy. Key Responsibilities of the Housekeeper/Personal Assistant:

  • Household Management: Oversee daily household duties, including cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate a team of carers, ensuring tasks are completed and everyone works well together.
  • Scheduling & Appointments: Check and manage daily routines, appointments, and days out.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the wheelchair is kept clean and fully functional, and organize yearly servicing for the boiler and other household equipment.
  • Organizing Services: Schedule and manage external services such as window cleaning, car cleaning, bin cleaning, and car maintenance.
  • Nutritional Planning: Coordinate with a nutritionist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and counsellor to ensure meals and routines are well-balanced.
  • Training & Supervision: Assist with training new carers and ensure they are well-equipped for their roles.
  • File & Office Management: Organize files and set up an efficient home office.
  • Weekend & Travel Planning: Assist with planning weekends away and other social activities.

What we will need from you:

  • Previous experience working with individuals facing physical challenges.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and work well with a team.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Ability to be an active and engaged part of this young adult’s life
