Human Resources and Office Support

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join my clients UK-based team as a Human Resources and Office Support Specialist. This role combines human resources functions with office administration and management tasks, tailored to the needs of a UK office environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of UK employment practices and a passion for maintaining an efficient and welcoming office space.Key Responsibilities:Human Resources Support:

  • Assist with UK recruitment processes, including creating job adverts in line with UK employment laws, scheduling interviews, and supporting onboarding for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with GDPR regulations and UK employment standards.
  • Support payroll processes by collecting and verifying employee data, including leave, overtime, and benefits, in line with UK tax and employment laws.
  • Assist with organizing mandatory training, health and safety inductions, and team-building activities.
  • Address routine HR queries from UK-based employees and escalate complex concerns to senior HR staff or external advisors when necessary

Office Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a UK office, ensuring it is compliant with UK health and safety standards, including risk assessments and fire safety checks.
  • Monitor office supplies, procure items as needed, and manage relationships with UK suppliers and service providers.
  • Liaise with building management for repairs, maintenance, and facilities management in line with UK regulations.
  • Ensure the office remains a professional and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle general administrative tasks such as managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documents specific to UK business operations.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including booking meeting rooms, setting up equipment, and arranging catering as needed.
  • Support travel bookings and expense reporting for UK staff, adhering to company policies and UK financial standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Previous experience in HR, office administration, or a related field in the UK is preferred.
  • Familiarity with UK employment laws and GDPR compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and ability to prioritize tasks.
