I am exclusively supporting a highly acquisitive fintech business based in the North West with their search for a Global HR Director. In this role you will work closely with senior leadership to shape and implement HR strategies that support the company's growth, performance, and talent objectives across diverse geographies. This is a critical role in ensuring the right talent is in place to drive success, while fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy and Leadership: Develop and lead the global HR strategy that supports business goals and drives organisational growth. Collaborate with the executive team to align HR initiatives with the company's mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee global recruitment efforts, including the creation of talent pipelines for critical roles across regions. Ensure the recruitment process is efficient, inclusive, and focused on attracting top fintech talent.
  • Employee Experience and Engagement: Design and implement global employee engagement initiatives to ensure a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace. Lead initiatives that foster an engaged workforce, improve retention, and develop a strong company culture.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the implementation of global performance management systems. Ensure consistent performance evaluation processes and alignment with company goals. Lead the development of leadership programs to grow high-potential employees into future leaders.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Design and implement global compensation strategies that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's values. Ensure that benefits packages meet the diverse needs of employees across various regions while adhering to local laws.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all local labour laws and regulations in all operational regions. Stay informed about regulatory changes and their impact on HR policies and practices. Maintain governance and ethical standards in all HR-related activities.
  • Leadership Development and Succession Planning: Identify leadership gaps and create development plans for the next generation of leaders. Build a robust succession plan to ensure business continuity.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Lead DEI initiatives across the organization to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce. Drive programs that promote equal opportunities and celebrate cultural differences in every region.
  • Global HR Systems and Technology: Lead the implementation of HR technologies (HRIS, learning management systems, etc.) to streamline HR processes across the global workforce, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Organisational Design and Change Management: Support global organisational design, ensuring an agile and scalable workforce. Lead change management initiatives that ensure smooth transitions during company transformations, mergers, or acquisitions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, in a high growth global organisation.
  • Expertise in talent management, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, performance management, and organisational development.
  • Strong experience with HR compliance and legal requirements in multiple regions.
  • Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive change and influence at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of global HR technologies and systems.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse, multicultural workforce and work effectively across different regions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how HR can support business objectives.
