Tony Alan is delighted to have partnered on an exclusive basis with a prestigious organisation based in Manchester to help them recruit a Head of HR. This award-winning organisation takes great pride in the unique service they deliver their customers and adopts a culture that values its employees, creating a fantastic workplace experience.

As the Head of HR you will report to the Executive Director of Operations and will work closely with the business, EXCO and Learning and Development function. You will have sole responsibility for the HR function, lead a dedicated team and support around 220 employees across the UK. Some travel will be required within the role. With huge vision and growth plans as an organisation, the focus for the Head of HR is to serve as a key player in fostering a cohesive and supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in balancing professional HR practices with the unique, personal nature of a family-owned business, ensuring the needs of both the employees and the family are met as well as getting deeply involved in the day-to-day activities to ensure success is achieved. You will develop and implement HR strategies that align with the companies’ values and business goals and will oversee talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management and compliance with UK employment Law.

This is a pivotal role, where such duties will include:

  • Working with the Executive Director of Operations and the business to develop HR policies and strategies
  • Being an active member of the broader operations leadership team
  • Sharing best practice with the broader European Group.
  • Change Management. Support the business to carry out restructures and successful manage any resultant redundancies from a people perspective
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment laws and regulations to mitigate legal risks
  • Working to ensure ESG is integral across all aspects of the business and that employees understand the importance to the organisation
  • Foster a positive working environment, addressing employees concerns and resolving conflicts
  • Working with the Learning and Development team and the business to implement training programmes, enabling employees to enhance and grow their careers

The successful individual will have proven experience in a Head of People or Senior HR Business Partner role, ideally from a financial or professional services organisation. You will have a proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to work within a fast paced and changing environment with ongoing project plans, executing against the plan in a timely way. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills are essential
