HR Manager

We are seeking an HR Manager to join a leading construction company based in the Trafford area. This role involves managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, developing HR strategies aligned with business objectives, and ensuring legal compliance in human resource management. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing a positive working environment and enhancing employee relations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
- Manage the integration process for new starters, including issuing offer letters, contracts of employment, and introducing organisational culture.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of staff.
- Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes, implementing necessary changes.
- Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinary actions, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
- Oversee the payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety to address training needs.
- Provide advice to managers on terms and conditions of employment and share best practices.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Develop programmes to enhance employee relations and offer employee support.
- Assist in managing salary and benefits rewards.
- Monitor employee performance and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Manage talent and succession planning.
- Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
- Support change management processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, systems, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in HR software and tools.
- Relevant degree in Human Resources or related field.
