We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to join the team of an impressive Commercial Client, in a hybrid working capacity, with a base office location in Greater Manchester. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for 600+ employees

  • Ensure payroll calculations, including statutory leave, advances, and deductions, are processed accurately

  • Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, tax requirements, and legislative changes

  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including HMRC submissions and year-end reporting

  • Manage employee benefits such as pensions, salary sacrifice, and healthcare schemes

  • Drive process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy

  • Support internal and external audits with payroll data and reporting

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in payroll management

  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and processes

  • Advanced IT competency, particularly in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel

  • Professional payroll certification (e.g., CIPP) is desirable

  • Experience managing Republic of Ireland payrolls is advantageous
