HR AdvisorPermanent Salary £35k - £40kHybrid working offered; 2 days in the office, 3 days from homeLocation - can be based in either Manchester, Southampton or the NortheastMedlock Partners are proud to be partnering with a leading national law firm in identifying a passionate HR Advisor to support their business support functions.You will be part of the HR & Recruitment Team reporting to the Head of HR. As a key member of the team, you will be experienced in leading on ER cases whilst also supporting and coaching managers in line with the HR policies and procedures across all sites.You will be able to partner with key stakeholders to drive initiatives and champion HR across the business.Experience in professional services (Law or Financial Services would be preferred) however someone moving from a fast paced, ER focussed environment may be considered if they want to move into the professional services environment. Key Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:

  • You will provide expert HR advice and provide support across the full employee life cycle.
  • Drive the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Offer guidance on a wide range of employee relations issues and resolve them effectively.
  • Manage HR tasks such as flexible working requests, maternity leave, and oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, including inductions and exit interviews for various business areas.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pensions, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection processes.
  • Undertake additional HR duties as needed.

Key requirements of the HR Advisor:

  • A professional qualification, such as CIPD or equivalent, is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment (although there is flexibility around this for the right person)
  • Strong background in employee relations with a solid understanding of employment law.
  • A proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced and busy setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels.
  • Proficient in IT, including a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and experience with (or the ability to learn) HR databases.
