HR Advisor - 6 month FTC

Manchester City Centre - Hybrid Working

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be supporting a groundbreaking and highly prestigious Manchester institution to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to join their growing team. Based in Central Manchester, this role is offered initially on a 6-month FTC with the possibility of this leading to a permanent position. This organisation offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with a normal working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team of HR Advisors, you will provide high-quality HR support and advice to your dedicated business areas. The successful candidate will be pivotal in maintaining best practices in HR, ensuring policies are up-to-date, and addressing emerging needs.

About the role:

  • Provide HR Advice to the business face-to-face as well as providing support via telephone and email when required
  • Ensure Employee Relations cases are managed effectively, advising and guiding managers through processes
  • Ensure best practice advice is available to managers on policies, procedures and employment legislation
  • Support on any organisational change processes within your business areas
  • Contribute to the development, improvement and implementation of HR policies and ensure any changes are communicated effectively to managers
  • Utilise HR data to ensure high levels of compliance and keep all employee records fully up to date
  • Make a positive contribution to the professional development of individual and teams, identifying opportunities for coaching and training

About you:

  • Experienced in the role of a HR Advisor with a track record of managing a busy ER caseload and providing a high-quality HR Advisory service on a broad range of HR issues.
  • Up to date working knowledge of UK employment law
  • CIPD qualified
  • Excellent communication skills, a people person that builds strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse and consider complex information and present findings in a concise and professional manner
