Description
As the HR Advisor, you will provide expert HR support and guidance across a variety of HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and best practices. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service to our managers and employees, helping to drive employee engagement, retention, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR support to line managers and employees, offering advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law matters.
- Support recruitment activities, from job postings to candidate selection and onboarding.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
- Assist with performance management processes, supporting managers with performance appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
- Promote employee engagement through effective communication, surveys, and initiatives.
- Manage HR data, ensuring accurate records and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Support in the delivery of training and development programs for employees.
- Advise on health and safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Profile
A successful HR Advisor should have:
- Proven experience in an HR advisory or generalist role, ideally within a retail or fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying HR solutions.
- CIPD qualification
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
Job Offer
- A Competitive salary between £35,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
