Description

As the HR Advisor, you will provide expert HR support and guidance across a variety of HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and best practices. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service to our managers and employees, helping to drive employee engagement, retention, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to line managers and employees, offering advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law matters.
  • Support recruitment activities, from job postings to candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
  • Assist with performance management processes, supporting managers with performance appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
  • Promote employee engagement through effective communication, surveys, and initiatives.
  • Manage HR data, ensuring accurate records and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Support in the delivery of training and development programs for employees.
  • Advise on health and safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.

Profile

A successful HR Advisor should have:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory or generalist role, ideally within a retail or fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying HR solutions.
  • CIPD qualification
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
