Are you an experienced HR Generalist? Do you consider yourself to be personable and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Stretford, Manchester?

We have a temporary HR Specialist position available within Manchester's P&G Manufacturing site. P&G are responsible for the production of well known brands found in most peoples homes including Pampers, produced at the Manchester site since 1991. This role is ideal for someone with current HR (generalist) knowledge and experience within a Manufacturing environment.

Role: HR Specialist

Location: 100% office based at P&G, Trafford Park Rd, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M17 1NX

Rate: £16.83ph (£35,000 per annum)

Contract length: 3 months initially

Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week. Start time on or before 08:00 (flexible)

8 hour day including 30 minute paid lunch

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Recruitment lifecycle with the coordination of recruitment days
  • Scheduling candidate interviews
  • Onboarding new hires on site
  • Assisting with site payroll, taking full ownership
  • Updating and maintaining the workday system with change management including promotions and organisation moves
  • Assisting with employee terminations as they arise
  • Adhering to GDPR legislation and compliance at all times
  • Using and maintaining accurate records in SAP, Workday and Onekey
  • Taking ownership of absence management
  • Being the face to face point of call for employees with generic queries or in need of Employee relations support

Essential requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in a HR position within a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT literacy skills
  • Experience with Workday, SAP and/or OneKey
  • An approachable and supportive attitude to queries
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR legislation and processes
  • The ability to act with integrity at all times
  • Ability to be on site 100% of the working day

Desirable requirements:

  • Driving license and use of a car
  • CIPD qualification of any level or equivalent
