HR People Advisor

Salary: Up to £35,000 + excellent benefits

Location: Manchester Central/ Hybrid

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with an innovative professional services company in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join the wider central HR team based in Manchester.

The RoleThis is a broad, hands-on HR role where you'll support and advise multiple areas of the business. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the colleague experience and managing various people initiatives. As a proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement, you'll be responsible for:

  • Expertise in employee relations to coach and guide managers, helping them navigate complex issues and make decisions with a people-focused approach.
  • Provide high-quality HR data and reporting, spotting trends and presenting insights to support strategic decisions and enhance business processes.
  • Oversee key people practices across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all employees.
  • Work with the broader HR and Talent teams to refine policies, improve the colleague experience, and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with HR colleagues on TUPE, organisational change, and transformation projects, providing insights and supporting strategic transitions.
  • Assist with recruitment, payroll, engagement, and learning initiatives to offer a comprehensive people service across the business.
  • Design and deliver workshops to upskill managers, supporting them in creating an environment where people can grow and thrive.

Who We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have a well-rounded HR background and a proactive, inquisitive nature.

You should bring:

  • Experience in an HR Advisor role, with strong knowledge of employee relations and generalist HR practices
  • A curious, analytical mindset that helps identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to enhancing the overall colleague experience
  • An eagerness to grow and develop within a supportive team that values your input
  • Knowledge of supporting with change projects
  • CIPD qualification not essential, more important is your experience.
