This is a c6-9m FTC position to start asap. Salary range in the £80-90,000 base range pro-rata plus excellent benefits including 10% pension & 10% bonus. Hybrid working, with c2 days in the office dependant on business needs.

Anthony Cole Associates are pleased to be partnering with a nationwide Property / Real Estate organisation that supply essential services to the country. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Financial Systems Implementation Manager / Project Manager to deliver a new financial system implementation. This will be a challenging but highly rewarding role that will offer a hybrid work pattern, however the ability to travel to one of the client’s main offices in London / The Midlands / The Northwest or one of the 350 buildings located nationally 2 days a week is required.

The Financial Systems Implementation Manger will be responsible for the leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new financial systems for the Company which will support strategic, effective, and efficient use of data and reporting to support the business strategy and deliver business benefits both financial and non-financial. You must have a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting, as well as experience with financial systems and process and software including design, build, functional testing, training, and implementation phases.

The successful candidate will manage and lead both projects and people and be comfortable influencing stakeholders and take ownership of the project delivery plan and key milestones. You will also work with the IT team to ensure that the new financial system is integrated with the rest of the company’s systems.

Skills

The role requires a candidate to have strong communication, influencing & negotiation skills to engage stakeholders and manage change, that can successfully deal with ambiguity and proactively resolve issues whilst thinking creatively to solve problems. The ideal candidate will ideally demonstrate:

  • Ideally a qualified accountant, however certainly a strong Accounting background is required.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) OR a strong PM background with a well-rounded understanding of financial management processes and systems.
  • Experience of successfully delivering an end-to-end project or equivalent complex finance systems.
  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle (requirements, delivery, testing and release).
  • Leadership skills to structure, mentor and maintain a high performing team.
  • Ability to proactively influence and negotiate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Experience of managing internal & external stakeholders to provide information, drive decisions and resolve issues.
