Whether you're an experienced 2nd Line Engineer or a 1st Line Engineer looking to step up, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in Manchester. You'll be providing hands-on technical support in a fast-paced environment while developing your skills in hardware, software, networking, and help desk management.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Providing 2nd Line technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.* Troubleshooting and resolving Windows, macOS, and Linux operating system problems.* Managing support tickets using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Remedy.* Collaborating with 1st and 3rd Line teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.* Setting up and configuring new hardware, software, and peripherals.* Assisting users with network connectivity, security, and troubleshooting.* Maintaining accurate documentation of issues and solutions.* Keeping up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

* Experience in a 2nd Line IT support role OR a 1st Line Engineer eager to step up.* Strong understanding of computer hardware, troubleshooting, and configuration.* Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.* Experience with networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).* Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Server (up to 22)* Virtualisation including both Azure VD, VMware, Hyper-V* Familiarity with help desk software such as Jira, Remedy, or ServiceNow.* Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.* A proactive and customer-focused mindset.
