Are you ready to shape the future of AI? We're looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join a high-impact team driving cutting-edge innovations in Generative AI, Computer Vision, and Classical Machine Learning. This role involves working on both advanced model development and strategic technical leadership, collaborating across UK and US teams.
What You'll Do- Lead and Mentor: Oversee and support a small team of 3-4 ML engineers, guiding them in developing state-of-the-art models in LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, and Computer Vision, alongside traditional ML methods.
- Hands-On Technical Work: Drive best practices in coding, perform code reviews, and actively contribute to the codebase.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Advise UK and US stakeholders on AI best practices, scope projects, and ensure alignment between technical and business goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate key insights and findings through reports and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Innovative Research: Stay ahead of the curve by implementing the latest advancements in AI, and oversee deployment of critical projects in AWS and Databricks.
- Team Expansion: Play a pivotal role in growing and developing the team.
Required:
- MSc or PhD in a STEM field or AI-related discipline.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in ML Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Expertise in Python and experience working with large-scale datasets and high-traffic applications.
- Practical, hands-on experience in Generative AI and Computer Vision.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of working effectively with stakeholders.
