We are currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who is adept at problem-solving and has a keen interest in technology. The candidate should be able to manage both network and server infrastructure in a busy and ever-evolving environment.

Description

  • Ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the company's IT Infrastructure.
  • Identifying, documenting, and solving technical issues related to network and server infrastructure.
  • Evaluating and modifying system performance.
  • Assessing and upgrading existing technologies to better serve the organisation.
  • Handling multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborating with the technology team to align infrastructure with business goals.
  • Developing and implementing IT standards and procedures to aid in the management of resources.
  • Contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

路 2+ years' previous experience in a similar role

路 Experience with 3 or more of the following technologies

路 Management and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server (inc. AD, DNS, IIS and SQL Server)

路 Microsoft 365 (inc. Entra, Intune, Exchange Online, Defender)

路 Deployment and configuration of Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS endpoints

路 Networking technologies (Switches, Firewalls, ZTNA solutions)

路 Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS (especially for website hosting)

路 VMware vSphere configuration

路 Management and configuration of Linux servers (especially Debian-based)

路 Veeam Backup solutions

路 CDN management (e.g. Cloudflare)

路 Patch Management Software

路 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually evolving working environment

路 Excellent communication skills

路 Self-motivated and delivery focused

Profile

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, maintaining, and extending our existing multi-site hybrid VMware and Azure infrastructure
  • Deploying and configuring Windows and Linux virtual machines
  • Supporting and configuring user endpoints and office infrastructure
  • Supporting and configuring backup operations
  • Fulfilling firewall change requests
  • Maintaining the security of our environments
  • Managing client solutions on public cloud infrastructure
  • Occasional out-of-hours maintenance and support
