Senior Infrastructure Engineer - £65,000 - Central Manchester

Lorien Global is partnering with a prominent games development company seeking a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen their IT Technical Operations team. You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the mission-critical infrastructure that powers their high-throughput, 24/7 operations.

About the Role:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will spearhead infrastructure builds, drive automation initiatives, and oversee deployments to ensure a resilient and scalable production environment that supports continuous growth. Your expertise in automation, scalability, network architecture, management, and security within NSX, AWS, and VMware is crucial. Given the critical nature of the games development industry, a strong focus on system reliability and security is paramount.

What You'll Bring:

  • Significant experience in server and infrastructure support within a support-focused environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (2016+) and CentOS-based Linux systems.
  • Strong grasp of networking principles.
  • Proven experience managing and supporting key Windows Server roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Clustering, IIS).
  • Hands-on experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware ESX/NSX/Nutanix).
  • Proven experience with infrastructure automation tools and techniques.
  • Significant experience working within an IT support function, following ITIL best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
