An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Master Data Manager to join a brand-new team within a diverse and dynamic organisation.

This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in supporting the company's vision of building more value every day. As a Master Data Manager, you'll lead a team of specialists, developing and implementing finance master data governance, policies, and standards.

You'll ensure our data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulations and industry best practice. This is an ideal time to join us as we transform our finance systems and implement SAP S4 HANA.

As a Master Data Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity of our financial data.

Your role will involve managing the life cycle of our finance master data across multiple systems, ensuring its accuracy and consistency. You will define standards for naming conventions, formats, and categorisation while assigning ownership responsibilities to relevant units or specialists.

Leading a team of Master Data Specialists, you will ensure that updates are made accurately and promptly. Your expertise will also be crucial in implementing security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorised access.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and improve the quality of master data through profiling, cleansing, and validation processes
  • Manage the creation, changing and closing of finance master data across multiple systems
  • Define and control data standards for naming conventions, formats and categorisation to maintain consistency
  • Assign data ownership responsibilities to relevant business units or data specialists
  • Create and maintain documentation related to master data
  • Lead a team of Master Data Specialists ensuring timely and accurate data updates
  • Implement and apply data security measures to protect sensitive master data from unauthorised access or breaches
  • Support data migration projects ensuring accurate transformation and transfer of finance master data during system upgrades or migrations

The ideal candidate for this Master Data Manager position brings extensive experience in managing finance master data within SAP environments.

You will possess strong leadership skills with proven experience in line management. Your excellent communication skills enable you to present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role as well experience of using SAP.

Additionally, your experience with change control and management will be invaluable as we transform their finance systems
