Our client, a reputable display graphics company based in Manchester, is seeking a dedicated IT Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The client is looking for someone with a strong IT background and commitment to a long term career.

Role Overview:

As the IT Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining smooth IT operations and providing critical end-user support. Your expertise will support a range of technical needs, from hardware to security, to ensure the company's systems run effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End User Support - Assist and resolve user issues promptly.
  • PC/Laptop Hardware Management - Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware.
  • Fault Management - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Software Installation & Configuration - Set up and configure PCs, laptops, and software.
  • Patching & Security - Manage PC patches, user security, passwords, and ensure network safety.
  • PC Administration - Oversee and maintain user accounts, permissions, and setup.
  • Email Setup - Handle user email configurations and maintenance.
  • SQL Expertise - Utilise SQL for database support as needed.
  • Support Requests - Log and manage new user support requests and ensure smooth on boarding.
  • Outsource support to an external agency - This includes Licensing, hardware, patching servers, network development & maintenance plus much more.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL and a broad understanding of IT management in a similar environment. You'll be an organised, proactive problem-solver who's committed to helping the company thrive long-term.
