Role

The In Life Change (ILC) Project Manager will be responsible for delivery of projects / changes within the In Life Change portfolio. You will manage end-to-end delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

The project manager is accountable for planning, matrix management of delivery teams, budget management, risk and issue management, stakeholder management, quality management and change management.

You will work with internal subject matter experts (including business analysts, solution architects, service architects, procurement and security experts), business owners, third party suppliers and external stakeholders including representatives from Government & regulatory bodies.

Identifying and engaging stakeholders internally and externally is critical to success and the ideal candidate must have excellent skills at building and improving relationships. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous project management experience with line manager responsibilities

What will you be doing?

·      Manage the change control process and assess and manage risks.

·      Ensure that credible plans are maintained and regularly updated.

·      Provide effective leadership to delivery resources, either internal to DCC or 3rd parties.

·      Manage third party deliverables and Statement of Works and agreed outcomes in a collaborative way

·      Ensure adherence to internal and external governance, ensuring stakeholders are approving progress and changes throughout the life cycle of change

·      Monitor cost, time, quality and resources used and act when performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

·      Strategically plan, manage, and execute internal communications related to operational changes delivery, planned initiatives, and updates.

What are we looking for?

·      Complex or technical infrastructure delivery

·      Multi-methodology delivery (agile and waterfall)

·      Management of changes to mission critical products or services

·      Management of complex third-party commercial relationships

·      Familiar with third party contracting for delivery

·      Experience working in controlled or regulated environments

·      Experience in line management and/or leading teams

·      Skilled stakeholder managers who can build and maintain key relationships

·      Prior use of Azure Dev Ops (or similar e.g. Jira)

·      Experience of the UK energy market.

Desirable Qualifications

•                    Scrum Master or similar agile delivery qualification

•                    Prince 2 Project Management Accreditation (or similar project qualification (e.g. APM PMQ))

•                    ITIL v3 or V4 qualification

•                    Prince 2 / APM Project Manager (PMQ) or higher (or similar practitioner level qualification)
