Our Central Government client is looking for a ServiceNow Test Manager to join their team on a 6 month contract. You will develop and operate the test methodology for the company's ServiceNow environment, working in the Service Tooling team. In this role you will be the liaison between customer and the implementation teams in achieving desired quality criteria and documentation. You will be required to design and build test scripts, develop test guides, and test cases for user stories using the ServiceNow Agile Development module and Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Service Tooling team, developers, and business analysts to improve and develop manual and automated testing for new functionalities and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop, document, implement, and maintain best practices for ServiceNow testing and automation
- Ensure testing is performed on the company's ServiceNow applications to ensure that the product is free from any defects and the system functionalities are working as per finalised requirements
- Configure ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) as the main testing tool to verify/validate release of ServiceNow enhancements
- Develop, document, implement and maintain test plans, suites, scripts, and scenarios for new and existing ServiceNow features based on requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, ServiceNow Solution Architects and Developers on requirements and associated functionality
- Document and report ServiceNow testing, verification and validation status and results including details of errors, non-conformances, and recommended remediation and corrective actions.
- Train and mentor users, developers, and colleagues in tea
- Participate in release planning for new ServiceNow features and platform functionality, defect fixes, and platform optimisation
- Ensure testing conclusions, recommendations and sign-off are accompanied by test results and necessary exceptions or deviations from requirements are documented.
Skills / Experience
- ServiceNow ITSM experience/certification.
- Experience of managing development activities within an Agile environment
- Functional testing of applications and functionality within the platform (e.g.,
- Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Integrations)
- Expertise in Software Quality Assurance Methodologies - designing and executing testing techniques and communicating test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of using or configuring ServiceNow's ATF application (Automated Test Framework)
- Certification in ITILv4
In return, you will receive the opportunity to support a major government department. The possibility to work on a long-term contract (6 months), paying up to 600 p/day (in scope of IR35). There will be a requirement to be on site up to 3 days per week. This can be based at any main hub around the country.
