I am recruiting a Senior Research Machine Learning Engineer for a company who are a dynamic tech startup at the forefront of decentralised commodities and investment portfolios. Their mission is to redefine value creation by leveraging investment technology and open-source solutions to empower communities and increase value in decentralised ecosystems.

The Role

As a Senior Research Engineer, you'll:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research to explore new algorithms, methodologies, and frameworks in machine learning and AI.
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art models to solve complex problems in various domains such as NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, deep learning, and AI research to ensure solutions remain innovative and competitive.
  • Dive into groundbreaking research, tackling diverse challenges within open-source protocols.
  • Collaborate with a world-class team to design and optimise blockchain-based solutions for decentralised commodities.
  • Enhance the value of investment portfolios using innovative, cutting-edge technologies.
  • Stay ahead of the curve in Blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi) trends.

Previous experience requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Machine Learning Engineering, across multiple skills - NLP, Computer Vision, LLMs, Time series forecasting etc.
  • PhD+3 years or MSc + 5/6 years industry experience - qualification in a STEM subject (statistics, machine learning, physics etc)
  • Proven experience in research and problem-solving within open-source development environments.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, and dimensionality reduction).
  • Proficiency in deep learning methodologies such as CNNs, RNNs, GANs, and transformers. Strong experience with languages like Python, R, or Java.
