Infrastructure Architect

Our Client:
Is a leading employer in the Greater Manchester area with multiple sites across the UK who offer services to millions of customers each year. They are undergoing a large transformation programme that is one of the largest in the UK and includes a variety of unique technology projects.

Your Role:
As Infrastructure Architect you will be working on the client’s private VMWare platform design, collaborating across all areas of the business to design and deliver enterprise scale solutions.
This role can offer hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to work from home for half of your week.

Responsibilities:
• Using your VMWare technical knowledge, you will own and deliver high level and low-level VMWare designs to meet the business’ strategic aims from their private platforms.
• You will also be involved on the public cloud platform development.
• Work collaboratively with technology stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions that meet business needs.
• Assist on the delivery of solutions to make sure they conform to the correct architectural elements.
• Participate in the supplier selection process, evaluating costs and make recommendations.

Essential Experience:
• Significant architectural experience working on VMWare private platform solutions.
• Owned, led and acted as technical subject matter expert on £1m+ projects.
• Consistently designed, delivered and implemented designs for enterprise size environments covering multiple data centres and locations.
• It will be desirable to have architectural experience on cloud platform design using AWS or similar.
