Security Architect

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, or Bristol)
Contract: 6 months+
Rate: 680 per day

About the Role: We are seeking a Security Architect with customer-facing consultancy experience to support our DevSecOps engineering team. You will play a crucial role in embedding Security by Design across our change portfolio, authoring Security Design documents, and providing expert consultancy on security threats, risks, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deconstruct and evaluate solution/network architectures
• Identify and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities
• Interpret threats into risks and assist in assessing their impact
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Produce and articulate Security Designs
• Balance risks and benefits of competing security design options
• Manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously

Essential Skills:

• Generalist security design skills
• DevOps / DevSecOps expertise
• Hybrid Cloud experience

Desirable Qualifications:

• Awareness of industry security standards (ISO 27000, PCI DSS, COBIT, NIST, OWASP)
• Certifications in Security Management (CISSP, CISM, CCSP) or technical Security domains (CEH, OSCP)
• Experience with Public and/or Private cloud environments
