IT Security Analyst / Manchester

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT Security Analyst with some experience in Vulnerability Management, Endpoint, SIEM / Incident Response etc looking to further their career.
Our client, an eminent Global Professional Services organisation is looking to a skilled ambitious IT Security professional to join their Manchester technology team.
On offer is the opportunity of ongoing support and training as you will be encouraged to expand your skills and knowledge. The Team works collaboratively, and you will liaise daily with colleagues in the wider Global Security Team.
Some key aspects of the role:
- Performing security risk assessments
- Work on things such as phishing responses and tasks, reviewing software requests and access response
- There is a high level of interaction with personnel at all levels, not only the infrastructure and networking teams, but you will also be working directly with individuals to offer advice as to how to protect themselves.
- The role will involve a high level of project work, and you will be afforded the opportunity of working with an immensely talented wider Global team
- You will take responsibility for assessing technology security risks, researching and implementing security solutions, and operating security tools
Key skills / experience
- You will have proven experience with IT Security - this may be from working within a SOC or incident response environment or similar
- You will have worked with a range of Security Tools - the client is willing to upskill or offer training for tools that may be new to you
- Experience with: Microsoft Windows and other major operating systems; Anti-virus, firewall, encryption and authentication; Vulnerability assessments; Operating system or application hardening; Incident response
- It is essential that you have excellent communication skills
