Join a dynamic team focused on modernising critical backup and recovery systems across a robust infrastructure estate. As the nerve centre of the organisation, our data centres host the most essential applications, and your expertise will help ensure these systems remain resilient and secure against threats like ransomware.
What You'll Do:
In this pivotal role, you will:
* Forge strong relationships with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with overarching standards and strategies.
* Collaborate with platform teams to develop and integrate roadmaps, defining migration methodologies to transition applications and infrastructure to new data centres.
* Dive deep into our environments and tackle systems integration challenges during major transformations and migrations.
* Operate at an architectural level while also designing and deploying infrastructure changes.
* Partner with technical delivery managers to support planning, costing, and interactions with subject matter experts (SMEs).
* Translate complex requirements into clear, concise designs that meet business needs.

* Knowledge of Secure by Design principles and Agile development methods.
* Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practises and tools.
* Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
* Distributed/X86 technologies (Windows, RHEL, Containers).
* Midrange technologies (IBM Power Series, HP-UX, Sun Solaris).
* Traditional and cloud hosting environments.
* Backup and recovery systems, including ransomware vaulting.
* Capacity planning and forecasting.
* Disaster recovery and resilience patterns.
* High availability patterns and data replication technologies.
* Infrastructure blueprint/pattern definition.
