A SAP Solution Architect is required for our client based in Manchester, for an initial 6-month contract. Working in a hybrid capacity, 1-2 days per week in the office (flexibility for candidates further afield).

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join their team and support the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors, S4/HANA RISE Public Cloud edition, BTP, Analytics Cloud, and Concur. This role will involve collaborating closely with internal teams as well as the delivery partner , playing a crucial role in designing solutions that leverage existing systems to ensure successful programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Architecture

  • Develop comprehensive SAP architecture that aligns with organisational objectives.
  • Lead the design and integration of SAP solutions across modules, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
  • Analyse business requirements to recommend SAP solutions that drive operational effectiveness and innovation.
  • Contribute to the Programme Design Authority/Solution Standardisation Board to ensure compliance with "Adopt not Adapt" principles and support conversations and impact assessments between business and technology teams.
  • Advise on the operating model for post programme implementation that will ensure continuous improvement and benefit realisation from the solution.

Design and Implementation

  • Oversee SAP programme technical implementation and ensure alignment with architectural standards and programme goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP solutions with other IT systems, ensuring data consistency and process alignment.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with SAP implementations, upgrades, and changes.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to security and compliance requirements and participate in audits as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in SAP architecture, implementation, and/or solution design.
  • Proven experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations and large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Proficiency in SAP modules and products, including SuccessFactors, S4/HANA, BTP, Analytics Cloud, and Concur.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration tools (e.g., PI/PO, CPI) and middleware tools like Mulesoft.
  • Familiarity with SAP cloud solutions, including SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Familiarity with SAP Signavio/Lean IX is a plus.
