We are hiring for an Applications Consultant for a leading software supplier to local government, joining their Consultancy and Training team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in software solutions for Local Government, particularly in Planning, Building Control, Land Charges, and Public Protection.

About the Role:

As an Applications Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing software solutions for local government clients. You will guide clients through the implementation process, providing training, best practice advice, and configuring software to meet statutory obligations and streamline processes. You will also be involved in delivering training courses and conducting system audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of company products.
  • Configure software solutions in client environments.
  • Deliver training courses on various products.
  • Conduct system audits and write detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Maintain documentation supporting consultancy and training delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for new consultancy and training services.
  • Provide support and maintenance services as needed.
  • Adhere to Information Security policies and protocols.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Knowledgeable about software solutions in local government.
  • Experience with software such as Uniform, Enterprise, Total Land Charges, Uniform Spatial, and Idox Cloud is preferable.
  • Strong consultancy and training skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret client requirements.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel within the UK occasionally.
