HGV Technician 

Basic Salary: £48,(Apply online only) - £58,(Apply online only) 

Location: Manchester

Hours: 4 on 4 off

Benefits: Overtime paid at time and a Half, private healthcare, pension, and additional employee benefits.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled HGV Technician to join our growing team in Manchester. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated HGV Technician to join a reputable company offering competitive pay and ongoing development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs.

     

  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with industry regulations.

     

  • Perform brake, suspension, and axle repairs, as well as welding and structural repairs.

     

  • Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation.

     

  • Adhere to health and safety standards while working in a busy workshop environment.

     

  • Work effectively with other technicians and contribute to team success.

     

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, ideally with experience working on heavy vehicles.

     

  • Ability to work independently and to deadlines in a fast-paced workshop.

     

  • Full UK driving license (HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential).

     

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • IRTEC accreditation.

     

  • Industry-recognized qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds).

     

  • Tail lift, lifting deck, or double-deck trailer maintenance expertise.
