IT Engineer (1st and 2nd Line)
Manchester

We're seeking a proactive and hands-on 1st and 2nd Line IT Support Analyst with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join a dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, SME environment and is confident in supporting users across on-premise, hybrid, and remote setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the business for end-user issues, applications, hardware, and systems.
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Active Directory, and VoIP systems.
  • Support and manage endpoints, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Perform basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Support Veeam and VMware solutions, including basic administration and backup operations.
  • Provide ongoing support for our ERP system and assist with routine system administration.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a 1st and 2nd Line IT Support role.
  • Strong helpdesk and user support background in an SME or similar environment.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid understanding of VoIP systems and basic telephony support.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and endpoint management.
  • Experience in vendor management and dealing with external IT providers.
  • Working knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Involvement in project delivery or technical rollout initiatives.
  • Confident supporting both technical and non-technical users.
