IT Support Engineer

We are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to join one of the UK's leading automotive distruptors. As the frontline hero, you will be instrumental in ensuring their bespoke systems run smoothly, resolving technical issues swiftly to maintain business continuity. As the IT Support Engineer you will provide both 1st line support, tackling a wide array of hardware and software challenges. Your role will be essential in maintaining high levels of user satisfaction and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide 1st line support for issues related to Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, and various hardware devices.
  • Problem Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to file permissions, Active Directory, and hardware functionalities.
  • Account Management: Assist in managing user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, ensuring secure operations through best practices.
  • Modern IT Tools: Engage with tools such as Intune, Entra, and Exchange to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop a basic understanding of PowerShell scripting to streamline processes.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service, ensuring all support actions are resolved professionally and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT support, with a strong understanding of Microsoft environments (Windows 10/11, Office 365).
  • Familiarity with hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting computing devices.
  • Experience in network diagnostics, security measures, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL/Agile methodologies, PowerShell scripting, and Android tablet support is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with a dedication to outstanding customer service.
  • Your own means of transport as public transport links are not accessible
