Cedar are supporting a client, operating in the Education marketplace, based in Greater Manchester who are looking to hire an IT Vendor Manager. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary up to 50,000 per annum plus a great range of benefits. This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to be on-site 2 days per week.
The successful candidate will work within the IT function, consisting of c40 individuals in total, and will be responsible for managing relationships with external suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services that align with the organisation's strategic goals. You will be responsible for negotiating contracts and monitoring/evaluating supplier performance ensuring any issues are flagged and resolved in a timely manner. You will manage the full end-to-end procurement process for all IT products and services and continually ensure value for money and compliance is achieved.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE:
- Experience working in a similar role covering Procurement, Category, Contract, Commercial, Vendor or Supplier Management
- Experience procuring for IT Goods and/or Services - having a familiarity with IT Suppliers, Products and Services is key for this role
- Proven track record of managing relationships and negotiating contracts
- Strong Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
