The Role

City Care Partnership is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our team and play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Condition.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee and lead a team of support workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
  • Collaborate with the Area Team Leader or Registered Manager to deliver comprehensive support to those with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Condition.
  • Work a 39-hour week, including allocated office hours, sleep-in duties, overtime, and on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Service User Support

  • Design, implement, and manage individual support plans tailored to each service user's unique needs.
  • Uphold personal dignity, choice, and independence for those we support.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for personal and community engagement.
  • Periodically review and update individual care plans, promoting fair access to health services.

Staff Management

  • Develop and manage staff rotas, organise team meetings, and ensure effective communication and follow-up.
  • Identify training needs, supervise, and support staff development to maintain a skilled, compassionate team.
  • Participate in recruitment and induction processes for new staff, ensuring they complete necessary certifications.

Administration and Compliance

  • Accurately manage required documentation, including care plans, safety procedures, and financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and Care Standards, carrying out regular audits and reviews.

Community and Family Liaison

  • Foster positive relationships with families, advocates, and external organisations.
  • Actively represent and promote the values of City Care Partnership in all interactions.

The Person

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader role (minimum 12 months).
  • A full manual UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Condition, with experience in supported living.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead a team and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Experience as a Team Leader in an LD service plus QCF 4 or equivalent is required.
