Job Purpose:

Join our client's dynamic team as a CAD Operator/Designer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks, AutoCAD Plant 3D & NAVISWORKS software. Utilize your expertise in mathematics, physics, and fabrication techniques to contribute to engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Propose, design, and detail engineering solutions.
  • Attend site visits for verification/measurement, producing general arrangement/proposal drawings.
  • Interpret technical requirements of customer specifications and manage projects from development to production.
  • Assist in procurement by providing technical specs for in-house buyers and furnish fabrication drawings to sub-contractors.
  • Support Projects and Works departments to ensure seamless component integration, complying with industry regulations.
  • Investigate and develop solutions for various problems individually or as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with the wider company to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Degree qualified in an engineering/product design subject preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, along with 3D modelling experience, preferably in SolidWorks and/or NAVISWORKS.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Fluency in English to a very high standard, with excellent communication skills for client and colleague liaison.
  • Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Organised with a high level of administration ability to manage documentation effectively.
  • Experience in an ISO9001 compliant environment or equivalent is advantageous.
This role would suit someone who has worked withinManufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or within other similar industries.
