Manchester City Centre - Office Based

My client, a supplier of casual menswear to the UK top retailers now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Garment Technologist to join their friendly team in Manchester City Centre.

Duties include:

  • Create size specs / amend specs.
  • Carry out grading on specs provided by customers / align grading across collections.
  • Review samples alongside designer / developer / account manager.
  • Liaise with customer and factory to relay / discuss comments.
  • Set parameters for testing on each customer / inhouse brand in relation to base fabrics and finished garments / trims.
  • Relay all testing info to suppliers
  • Liaise with account manager to ensure testing is aligned with Critical Path
  • Review and submit to customers as required.
  • Keep on top of supplier compliance status to ensure all audits are up to date.
  • Submit to customers to keep records up to date.
  • To be familiar with or happy to learn and be up to speed on customer systems and processes when working with retailers such as NEXT, ASOS, JD SPORTS etc.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Garment Technologist - ideally with extensive menswear experience.
