Time Recruitment are currently recruiting a production planning engineer to work for our industry leading client based in Manchester. Our client is a leading manufacturer within there field supplying machines within the aviation, rail and defence sectors. The purpose of thi role of production planning engineer is to support with planning and co-ordination of all manufacturing operations. Experience within a planning role would be essential for this role. Previous experience working on shop floor would also be desirable. The main duties in this role of production planning engineer will include:ng

  • Checking and reviewing engineering and planning data
  • Working to compliance procedures
  • Contributing to production and planning reviews both internally and externally
  • Producing manufacturing documentation
  • Identifying engineering changes and trends
  • Maintaining company numbering system
  • Preparing budgets
  • Panning manufacturing activities
  • Working with material suppliers
  • playing a key part in manufacturing decision making

The successful candidate must:

  • Have great communication skills
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be comfortable working to budgets
  • Have effective negotiation skills
