We are March……… the UKs leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear.

 

We are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our team within the Musk Process Services division based at our client’s site in Manchester.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance within the sites various buildings.
  • Attending breakdowns
  • Overhauls on machinery
  • Remedial corrective actions
  • Working to improve plant reliability.

  • Practical skills for repairing and maintaining equipment.
  • The ability to work well with your hands.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work on your own.
  • The ability to make decisions about tools and equipment.
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well with others.

 

Specific Qualifications

 

  • Mechanical Qualifications (C&G, BTEC, NVQ)
  • Have experience working in an industrial environment preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience of working and maintaining with a wide variety of process machinery including Screw Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Bearings and Couplings, Alignment, Pumps, Gearboxes, Chain drives
