An established injection moulding manufacturer is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their team.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience in injection moulding manufacturing, with strong mould setting and processing skills.
The role involves performing tool changes, conducting trials, and ensuring processes meet targeted efficiency and scrap levels.
A recognised injection moulding qualification is preferred, along with knowledge of materials such as PC, ABS, and PA.

Role:

The successful injection moulding technician candidate will carry out tool changes effectively and safely in the injection moulding areas of the business
As injection moulding setter it is your responsibility to ensure injection moulding processes can achieve targeted scrap and efficiency levels, on new and existing products
To be able to work well within the technical injection moulding setting, processing & optimisation team
As injection moulding setter you will be required to carry out tool and material trials
Basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting
To drive continuous improvements ensuring product quality is maintained & good working practices are adhered to.
To liaise with all members of the department to ensure operations run smoothly
Ensuring that key performance indicators on tool changing are achieved.
To ensure Health & Safety rules are maintained with your own work area and demonstrate a duty of care to colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.

Experience:

Injection moulding setting experience
Recognised injection moulding qualification (preferable)
Knowledge of materials such as PC, ABS, PA, PP, TPE etc
Ability to work in a team
Ability to troubleshoot
Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, crane etc.)
Self-motivated individual with a willingness to achieve KPI targets
