This award winning, independent broker is looking to expand its Manchester office with an experienced Casualty Claims Handler.  With regional offices across the UK, they offer corporate clients a traditional brokerage service, providing the local community with invaluable coverage rooted in family values.

Reporting to the Claims Director, you will manage a portfolio of Casualty losses, including Employers and Public Liability claims. You will be working with a variety of clients from different industry's including Retail, Construction, Leisure and Hospitality. There is no upper limit in value to these losses, so your caseload will be allocated on technically competencies.  Whilst there is no delegated authority, this is by no means a post-box service.  You will present losses to insurers, manage the progress of the lifecycle and negotiate and challenge the settlement terms.

To be considered, you will be expected to have a strong technical standing in Casualty  claims, from a broker or insurer.  You will be confident in communicating with clients, insurers and relevant third parties.  This is an excellent opportunity to build on your technical knowledge and expertise and help support and mentor less experienced colleagues.

In return you will receive a basic salary in line with your experience up to £35,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to, 6% employer pension contribution, buy/sell holidays, death in service, private medical insurance, along with support towards professional qualifications.  This is a hybrid working opportunity, with 3 days in the Manchester office and 2 days working from home.
