What will you be doing as a Claims Handler:
Working as part of a team, you will deal with a mixture of commercial and personal lines insurance claims. Duties include:

  • Reviewing and assessing insurance claims across different products to determine coverage and liability
  • Acknowledging all new claims to both clients and insurers and keeping clients updated
  • Investigating and gathering evidence to support claims decisions
  • Negotiating with claimants, insurers and others to reach settlements
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to other claims handlers
  • Preparing claims reports to be presented by Account Executives on larger cases

  • Strong experience in claims handling, ideally in a similar commercial Claims Handler role
  • Exceptional customer care skills
  • Confident with excellent negotiation skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Team player
