Key Responsibilities of a Claims Handler:
- Taking details from customers, gathering evidence, and collecting documents
- Checking that the claim is covered by the policy and that premiums have been paid
- Providing guidance on the claims process and explaining why a claim may not be covered
- Keeping records of claim status, monitoring progress, and investigating fraudulent claims
Key Skills and Experience of a Claims Handler:
- Previous experience in either Motor, Employers Liability or Public Liability Claims
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to negotiate are required
- Fantastic listening skills and an empathetic nature are essential for this role
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required
