Purpose of role:

Our client is seeking an experienced motor claims handler to join their expanding remote team. This role entails investigating motor insurance claims to evaluate liability and damages for their emergency blue light clients. You will oversee claims from start to finish, applying your investigative and negotiation skills to achieve the best outcomes. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is crucial, and they will support you in attending meetings and developing this aspect of your role.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be a dedicated blue light claims handler, managing a portfolio of motor damage, credit hire, and injury claims from initial notification to settlement.
  • Your responsibilities will include making decisions on fraud, quantum, and liability, as well as managing cases through litigation. You will also communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives, using phone, email, and other communication methods.

Skills:

  • Proactive claims handling ability
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Extensive experience in motor claims, including credit hire, personal injury assessment, and motor investigations
  • Solid understanding of insurance principles
  • Proficient in handling OICP and MOJ Portal claims
