The Role

Are you an experienced leader in Commercial Insurance? Can you leverage your established relationships with UK Motor Fleet insurers to expand and strengthen a growing department? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are well-established professional driver insurance provider, looking to appoint an experienced and tenacious Head of Commercial Insurance to our growing team.

You will lead the strategic direction of our Commercial Motor Fleet department. Working autonomously, you will develop a business plan to further grow our insurance portfolio and drive customer acquisition within the commercial fleet sector.

Please note, some days in the office will be needed each week so so applicants will need to reside no more than 35 miles to one of the following postcodes M12 4JD or L5 9PR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and delivery of the Strategic direction of the Commercial Fleet department.
  • Management and continued development of our current team and recruitment of future stars.
  • Grow the GWP & profitability of the department.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with our fleet customers and insurers.
  • Defining insurer placement strategy and developing new & existing insurer relationships.
  • Ensuring MI is provided accurately and in a consistent format.
  • Cross selling a range Commercial Insurance services into our Motor Fleet Customers.
  • Continuously improving the customer’s experience.
  • Enhance the use of technology to further improve the customers experience and internal efficiency.

The Person

  • Senior level management experience in a Commercial Insurance or Commercial Motor Fleet Insurance role.
  • Strong leadership and team Management skills.
  • Strong existing relationships with insurers within the UK Motor Fleet Market.
  • Business Development skills to enhance relationships with customers and insurers.
  • Sound understanding of all FCA requirements required.
  • A passion for delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Highly organised and able to manage projects through people.
  • Ability to travel between our office locations.
  • The ambition to drive the direction and vision needed to grow our Commercial Motor Fleet department including growing other Commercial Insurance Services.
