Are you a hardworking, experienced Mortgage Case Manager looking to work for a professional Mortgage Brokerage in the heart of Manchester? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Our client provides 1st Charge residential mortgages and Buy-to-Let (BTL) mortgages to a range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals. Due to their continued growth, they need a helping hand to get the cases over the line.

The Role:  Mortgage Case Manager.

Location: Central Manchester - Remote working with 1 or 2 days in the office.

Employment Type: Permanent - Full-Time & Part-time available.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will manage mortgage applications from submission through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mortgage processes, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote/hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of mortgage applications from initial submission to completion.
  • Assist a team of three mortgage brokers
  • Be accountable and available daily to support the team.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted promptly.
  • Monitor the progress of each application and keep all parties informed of updates.
  • Address client enquiries and resolve any issues that arise during the application process.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their mortgage applications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Verify all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all mortgage applications.
  • Liaise with underwriters, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties.
  • Schedule and coordinate property valuations and surveys as required.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information between all parties involved in the mortgage process.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or a related field.
  • CeMAP qualification is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience working on 1st charge mortgages and Buy-to-Let (BTL) mortgages.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, services, and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using mortgage processing software and other relevant technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
