Commercial Insurance Account Handler

An experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler with a minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial brokerage is needed to join a growing brokerage's Manchester office.  

With offices in London and Manchester this firm specialises in providing tailored commercial insurance solutions across multiple sectors, ensuring businesses receive the protection they need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage insurance programs to protect clients' assets and liabilities.
• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), endorsements, and claims support.
• Research potential clients and negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage.
• Ensure accuracy in policy documentation and compliance with FCA regulations.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Directors, and insurers to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Provide a high-quality advisory service, securing appropriate cover at competitive premiums.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial brokerage (Account Handler level).
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance, including Property, Liability, Business Interruption, Professional Indemnity, and Hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Acturis or a similar insurer-backed CRM system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work from the Manchester office at least two days per week.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in a second language (Italian or another language preferred).
• Relevant Insurance Qualification (or willingness to work towards it).

• Maintain FCA compliance in all activities.
• Deliver a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in client interactions.

• Promote Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles in all activities.
