They are currently looking for a Billing Assistant to join their Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to advance their career in Legal Finance.

Responsibilities

  • When instructed raise billing guides, write off time disbursements and close files
  • Ensuring bills are sent out and filed on a timely basis
  • Raising billing guides, draft bills and finalising bills
  • Allocating VAT when applicable
  • Making sure agreed service levels are met
  • When required aiding Partners on matter management issues generally
  • Using relevant software to make general matter, invoice or credit note enquiries
  • Raising billing schedules and ad hoc billing schedules in Excel

Candidate Profile

  • Working knowledge of the VAT regulations in relation to Solicitor Client Billing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with Partners and levels of all staff
  • Previous experience working in a legal accounting environment
  • Electronic Billing experience would be desirable
  • Advanced level of using MS Excel
  • Numerate, accurate and the ability to work autonomously as well as a team
