An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communication and Engagement Contractor in the heart of Manchester City Centre. This role offers a competitive salary of £300 - £480 per day, reflecting the importance and impact of the position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day support on stakeholder engagement and public relations, managing projects/campaigns, acting as press/media officer, and supporting the Stakeholder Manager in political and social media monitoring.

What you'll do:

As a Communication and Engagement Contractor, your role will be pivotal in maintaining effective public affairs and engagement activities. You will be entrusted with managing the Communications and Engagement Grid, ensuring that all activities align with the business plan. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you handle press enquiries, monitor media, and support political and social media monitoring. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity by delivering engaging comms/engagement plans and campaigns.

  • Provide day-to-day support on stakeholder engagement and public relations
  • Manage the Communications and Engagement Grid
  • Support delivery of business plan through directed projects/campaigns
  • Act as press/media officer, including handling press enquiries and daily media monitoring
  • Support the Stakeholder Manager in political and social media monitoring
  • Deliver comms/engagement plans and campaigns as directed
