Our client is an extremely successful online fashion retailer who has experienced extraordinary growth since opening their doors and there’s no stopping them yet! This role will involve overseeing and managing our customs process for all the companies in our group.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all transport, shipping, VAT, import/export and HMRC regulations, changes and ensure compliance for our group of companies.
  • Manage and coordinate all customs matters related to international shipments
  • Review documents to ensure that they are in-line with legislative requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers if documentation is missing or not in-line with requirements.
  • Plan and arrange deliveries to our distribution centre
  • Monitor and track road, air and sea shipments and manage any issues promptly
  • Support the T&C Manager to collate and submit reclaim requests to HMRC.
  • Data reporting and data audit

Qualification & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding within ocean, air and road freight within the UK is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of fashion and retail or logistics supply chain operation is not mandatory, but it's a plus
  • Experience and understanding of shipping documentation
  • Strong and recent knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, tariffs and trade agreements
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong IT skills using office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
