We specialize in creating custom furniture pieces that meet the unique needs of our clients. We are looking for an experienced Spray Painter to join our team and contribute to our production of luxury, hand-finished furniture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare wooden and other materials for spraying by sanding, priming, and masking surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Spray Painting: Apply various types of finishes, including lacquer, varnish, stains, and paints, using spray guns to achieve a smooth, even coat.
  • Quality Control: Inspect surfaces for imperfections, such as bubbles or rough spots, and make necessary corrections.
  • Color Matching: Work closely with designers and clients to match custom colors and finishes, ensuring that the finished product meets exact specifications.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain spray painting equipment and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow health and safety protocols when handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of a larger production team to meet project deadlines, while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.
  • Finishing Touches: Apply final protective coatings and ensure surfaces are polished and ready for delivery.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Previous Experience: At least 2 years of experience in spray painting, preferably in a furniture or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of various spray painting techniques, finishes, and materials (wood, MDF, etc.).
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and ability to produce a flawless finish on high-end furniture pieces.
  • Physical Dexterity: Ability to handle spray guns and work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Color Matching Ability: Experience in mixing and matching colors to meet custom specifications.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with designers, craftsmen, and other members of the production team.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • NVQ or relevant certification in spray painting or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards related to spray painting.
  • Ability to read and follow design specifications.
