We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced Spray Painter, who is experienced in 2-Pack Paint Systems.

Salary and working hours:

AM shift = 6am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday - £15 per hour

PM Shift = 4pm - 2am, Monday - Thursday. £15.52 per hour

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter with expertise in 2-Pack Paint Systems to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint using a variety of spray techniques, and ensuring a high-quality finish on a range of products. This role requires attention to detail, strong technicalskills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation:
  • Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Mask and cover areas that are not to be painted.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects and perform minor repairs if needed.
  • Paint Application:
  • Mix and apply 2-pack paints, primers, and clear coats in accordance with product specifications.
  • Use spray guns and other painting tools to apply coatings to a high standard.
  • Ensure proper curing and drying times between coats, maintaining consistency in application.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct inspections to ensure proper coverage, gloss, texture, and adherence to standards.
  • Identify and correct imperfections such as runs, sags, and contamination.
  • Keep records of all painted items, including batch and colour codes.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Maintain and clean all painting tools, spray guns, and equipment.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Adhere to company and regulatory standards for safety, cleanliness, and environmental impact.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Spray Painter, specifically with 2-Pack Paint Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mixing, blending, and applying various coatings (primers, topcoats, clear coats).
  • Familiarity with different spray techniques, including HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) and air-assisted spraying.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to paint application.
